The USAF BOeing B-52 has been a regular visitor to the Abbotsford Airshow for many decades. These fifty year old aircraft are powered by eight military versions of the JT3 engine, the same engine that powers the Boeing 707. Thus, the B-52 sounds like two Boeing 707s at the same time! Which is pure music to the ears .. as you will experience by watching this video with sound turned up!! Wait to the end of the video to hear the crew T-handle the engines to blast out all the excess fuel before shutting down.

Wow, memories of these wonderful aircraft being stationed at Ellsworth AFB Rapid City, SD for many years while I lived there. It was so awesome to see and hear these beasts landing and taking off esp when parked right below the flight path on runway 31-13 . Thanks for this
