Details

This 25 minute publicity film dates from 1953 and was produced in house by the A. V. Roe Canada Limited aviation company (also known as AVRO Canada) to promote their efforts to develop their CF-100 Canuck fighter interceptor jet aircraft which was powered by the Orenda engine, which was also designed and built by Avro Canada. The film goes into extensive detail explaining the design and construction of both the CF100 and the Orenda from their factory in Montreal at the former Victory Aircraft Company complex of World War Two.

      Neat stuff isn’t it Dieter, I also enjoyed this film. It presents great detail of the manufacture process. And it seems amazingly advanced for the late 1940s/early 1950s era of aero technology.
