Berlin Airlift Tempelhof Rhein Main 1948 in Glorious Cine Film Colour

Very few films on the Berlin Airlift was made in glorious kodachrome colour. Simply because the cost of such film was so expensive and it was in very short supply.

American Overseas Airlines in the 1940s post war provided trans-Atlantic air links between points in Europe and the continental United States.

They also participated in the Berlin Airlift with their cargo configured Douglas C-54 DC-4 aircraft. As such, American Overseas Airlines produced this promotional film from 1948 to educate the folks back home in the US of their amazing efforts to maintain freedom to the people of Berlin during this historic blockade by the Soviet forces during the expansion of the iron curtain.

Lufthansa German Airlines is one of the world’s oldest airlines. This amazing black and white colour promotional film charts the amazing history of this famous airline from its founding 100 years ago, and its progress to the airline’s launch into the jet age with the then brand new Boeing 707 in the early 1960s. Aviation fans will love the colour footage from the 1950s and early 60s which includes Lufthansa Constellation, Starliner, Vickers Viscount, Convair 340 and the brand new Boeing 707 Intercontinental.

Flying with Pegasus Airlines in Turkey Airbus A320 Sabiha Gokcen to Kayseri – Part 1

Join JetFlix TV founderHenry Tenby flying with Turkish low cost airline Pegasus Airlines on flights between Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen airport and Kayseri airport in this 2 part series. In the first part we start our tour in the ICS Lounge at Sabiha Gokcen airport where we enjoy a nice Turkish breakfast and some plane spotting through the lounge windows. We then take a nice airport apron tour on the remote bus during our transport to our Pegasus Airbus A320 for the flight to Kayseri. And the of course we thoroughly enjoy the flight between the two airports which closes with our arrival at Kayseri.
