When Trans Canada Air Lines selected the DC-8, a number of promotional films made by the airline and the manufacturer to promote the new aircraft to the travelling public.

From the Trans Canada Air Lines Douglas DC-8 historic film archives, this program exclusively presents four period films about the Douglas DC-8 that cover the development and marketing of the aircraft to airlines of the day, as well as films about the aircraft in the TCA operating theatre of the very early 1960s. Between films we have included a number of fabulous 1960s era TV ads produced by Trans Canada Air Lines Douglas DC-8.
