I was surprised to see a Gulf Air L-1011 model with the very old livery used to be on the VC-10 & BAC-111. This livery never was on the L-1011 in reality but the model looked nice wearing it ?
Hello Faisal, Anthony Lawler has an amazing display model collection. He has been a life long friend of mine for decades. I only got to visit his collection at his home this one time back in 2013. I guess this L-1011 was a demo model to help sell the aircraft to Gulf Air in the early days marketing efforts of the aircraft. Of course in later years Gulf Air was to operate a large fleet of the TriStars, spanning some decades from the late 1970s into the mid 1990s I believe.
