Flying The Beech 18 on Floats – a new series at JetFlix TV

With special thanks to Randy Hanna and our good friends at Pacific Seaplanes in Nanaimo, BC, we’re very pleased to announce the release of our new mini series on the Beech 18 that streams here on JetFlix TV.

In the summer of 2018 a video team from JetFlix TV visited Pacific Seaplanes to document some amazing flights on their Beech 18 on floats, and we had the honour of speaking with Randy Hanna about the virtues of flying and operating this reliable, historic and impressive aircraft.

The first two films in the mini series take the viewer along on our flights between the base of Pacific Seaplanes at Quennel Lake (near Nanaimo Airport on Vancouver Island) and the Vancouver Airport float base. In the third and final instalment of the mini series Randy Hanna explains the history of the Beech 18 from war years and military service with the US and Canadian armed forces, to civilian like as a rugged bush plane in Canada’s lake country of North Western Ontario.

This is a three part mini series that will be of great interest to all followers of bush aviation, Canadian airline history, and the venerable Beech 18. Here are three video teasers to give you taste of what to expect in this mini series.
