Villavicencio is a remote airstrip that has historically re-supplied even more remote jungle airstrips in Colombia that has attractive aviation photographers and enthusiasts for many decades.

JetFlix videographer Chris Mak paid a visit to the Colombian propliner stronghold at Villavicencio in 2001, and filmed the all the active propliner operators of the day.

The major operators of DC-3s included Aerovanguardia, Aliansa Colombia, Sadelca Colombia, and Alcom Colombia. Added to the action were movements by an Aires Dash-8 and the very special Servicios Aereos Petroleros Colombia Antonov AN-32.
