30 Minute Flight in a Boeing 720 in Real Time

“30 Minute Flight in a Boeing 720 in Real Time” video streams right here This video picks up from where the touch and go Honeywell 720 training video at KIWA Gateway Airport ended. Unfortunately, the aircraft developed a maintenance issue so the maintenance team from Phoenix had to drive over to Gateway with various parts and affect repairs during the day and thank goodness, they were able to be achieved before sunset on February 8, 2007.

We weren’t sure if everything was gonna go according to plan, but we did get on board the aircraft and luckily they were able to get the engines started as you can hear the starter unit straining quite significantly until we could get those engines running. This video is a real time documentation of the actual flight between KIWA Gateway Airport to Phoenix Sky Harbor and it’s about a 30 minute flight .. and a 30 minute video .. so you see absolutely everything from the passenger perspective. Honeywell’s maintenance department removed the interior plastic covering from the window to give us a perfect view, and they even polished the window clear to make it as ideal as possible for non-smudged filming of the engines and wing.

I hope you agree that this is possibly the highest quality Boeing 707 or Boeing 720 enthusiast video ever filmed on board such an aircraft. We were using a Sony HVR-A1U HD video tape camera which was a fairly advanced camera for 2007. I wanted to capture this aircraft with the highest quality recording that I could. Please enjoy the video and I look forward to your comments. Thank you so much for watching. This is Henry Tenby.
