This rare sheet-metal display model is believed to have been produced in Eastern Europe during the Soviet era and represents one of the most impressive IL-62 airline display models ever created. Today, surviving examples are exceptionally difficult to find, and most are found in heavily damaged condition due to their fragile sheet-metal construction.

This particular model has undergone a painstaking multi-year museum-grade restoration involving well over 100 hours of labor, including extensive bodywork, refinishing, professional painting, decals, and high-grade automotive clear coating.
